Combine the mince, breadcrumbs, Italian herbs, garlic and egg in a large bowl. Season with salt. Shape 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture around each bocconcini to enclose.
Heat the oil in a large saucepan on medium-high heat. Cook meatballs for 5 minutes or until evenly browned, turning regularly. Add the pasta sauce and bring to a simmer. Cover and simmer for 7 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through.
Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in a large saucepan of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain.
Place spaghetti in small serving bowls topped with sauce, meatballs, parmesan and basil.
