Cook spaghetti in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water for 8 - 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain and return to pan.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large frying pan on medium heat. Cook garlic, chilli and capers for 2 minutes, or until fragrant. Add ham and cook for 2 - 3 minutes, or until warmed through. Add ham mixture and basil to spaghetti and toss to combine. Serve topped with extra basil.
